Synopsis

This course aims specifically to address issues of gender, race, sexuality and class in relation to embodiment and dance.

Among its key issues include what makes "dance" dance, the ways in which movement and gesture convey meaning, the relationship of dance to other arts, and the mind-body connection implicated in dance.
